Pemba Island – Madrasatu Noor Al-A'la (Micheweni, Mtu Kwao)
Our first-ever visit to Pemba Island confirmed the success of one of our most important education projects:
-
We fully funded and built the entire madrasah from scratch.
-
Recruited a new Pemba Island Field Operations Lead (Hamid) who is also a teacher at the madrasah.
-
The school currently teaches 170+ children, but is overcrowded.
This project marks one of our biggest commitments to providing safe, functional learning environments on Pemba Island.
