About the event
In 2026, The Orange Trust will return to East Africa to continue our mission of bringing healthcare and education to underserved communities across Tanzania and Zanzibar. Building on the success of our previous projects, this deployment will expand access to essential medical services, strengthen local education, and create long-lasting partnerships with community leaders and government officials.
Our rotating teams of volunteers — including medical and dental students, professional doctors, dentists, and teachers — will work side by side with local staff to deliver:
Free medical and dental check-ups and screenings
Distribution of essential medicines and supplies
Health education programmes focused on preventative care, maternal health, and safe pregnancy practices
Teacher support and training to sustain long-term educational progress
